What to expect on the SAT?
Here at Alpha, we understand that taking the SAT can be very stressful as a high school student. As such, we always try our best to get our students familiarized with the format of the test so they can excel within all of its sections.
The SAT is a 3 hour test that consist of three time divided components:

SAT Courses for High School Students
MegaCourse
We offer the Megacourse program here at Alpha as one of our most intense preparatory courses. Students in this program are required to commit most of their summer break to excel in the SATs. Students will meet 5 times a week for four-hour sessions and 3 hour practice test. In addition they will take daily vocabulary tests and take two grammar tests weekly. Students in this program will have memorized more than 3500 SAT essential vocabulary words during this 8-week course, and have mastered the Verbal Section: Critical Reading, Writing and Language, and Math Section: Arithmetic to Algebra 2.
MegaPrep
This class is recommended for all high school students as it gives a in-depth overview of the SAT Test. Students will meet three times a week for two-hour sessions and a 3 hour practice test session. In addition to this, students will take weekly vocabulary tests and remedial SAT tests. Students in this class are required to put in the average of 10 to 15 additional hours outside classroom study time.
How about the PSAT/NMQT?
Similar to the SAT, the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMQT) is a standardized test give to High School Juniors within the month of October, and is used to determine a student’s eligibility for the National Merit Scholarship Program in addition to other scholarships.
The PSAT/NMQT test is 2 hours and 45 minutes that consist of three divided components:
